WaveMaker Joins EnterpriseDB Blade Partner Program

Open Source Providers Team Up to Deliver First Open Source WYSIWYG Web Application Development and Deployment Platform.

SAN FRANCISCO - April 29, 2008 - WaveMaker™, a provider of open source tools for rapid Web application development, today announced they have joined the EnterpriseDB Blade Partner Program. Under terms of the agreement, WaveMaker will include EntepriseDB's Postgres Plus product as part of WaveMaker's next major platform release. The result is the first open source What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWIG) Web application development and deployment platform for the open-source market.

"At WaveMaker, our vision is to be the PowerBuilder of Web 2.0," said Christopher Keene, CEO of WaveMaker. "By partnering with EnterpriseDB, we can offer a complete open-source WYSIWYG development platform - for aspiring Web developers, this is an easy on-ramp for building and deploying rich Internet applications."

WaveMaker will extend its customer support network to include support for EnterpriseDB customers, and EnterpriseDB will provide prospect leads to new EnterpriseDB customers interested in WaveMaker's Web 2.0 application development platform. The two companies will also conduct joint sales and marketing activities, and WaveMaker will create sample applications for developers that demonstrate the productivity gains from combining the WaveMaker Visual Ajax Platform with the EnterpriseDB database.

"EnterpriseDB Blade Partners offer compelling solutions that are complementary to or integrated with EnterpriseDB's Postgres Plus and Postgres Plus Advanced Server products," said Bob Zurek, chief technology officer, EnterpriseDB. "We are excited about the high quality and enthusiasm of the first companies to become part of the Blade Partner Program, and we think Blade customers will be delighted by the assured product interoperability and solution-based customer support."
