SAN FRANCISCO, CA - December 17, 2007 - WaveMaker™ today announced the general availability of its WaveMaker Visual Assembly Studio™ and WaveMaker Rapid Deployment Framework™ for Enterprise Web 2.0 applications. WaveMaker's tools provide developers in Global 2000 companies with the ability to design and deploy Web applications that are both Web Fast™ and CIO Safe™. The combined product offering is the only Enterprise Web 2.0 solution built on open source and open standards that bridges the gap between the competing priorities of departmental developers and central IT.
The WaveMaker Visual Assembly Studio provides departmental developers with an easy-to-use visual environment to create scalable, data-driven Web applications without complex code or portal frameworks. The Web Fast Visual Assembly Studio enables the drag and drop assembly of Web applications using AJAX widgets, Web services and databases. When compared to applications built on Microsoft .NET, WaveMaker customers have accelerated the development of applications by as much as 67 percent and reduced the lines of code written by 98 percent.
Web applications built with the WaveMaker Visual Assembly Studio can then be deployed with the WaveMaker Rapid Deployment Framework onto industry standard Java applications servers that are already part of the CIO's approved infrastructure, including Apache Tomcat and J2EE servers from IBM, BEA, Sun and Red Hat.
