In case you didn’t notice, we released the 6.3.0 DevBuild on Friday. The 6.3 release continues our emphasis on improving WaveMaker usability. We’ve improved the organization of Studio:
Palette, Model, and Services – Palette contains widgets. Model shows visible elements of the application. Services shows services and non-visible components.
Canvas, Source, and Services – All services are available as tabs, allowing easier navigation to any service. Multiple services can be open. A change indicator (red dot) displays for unsaved changes.
Drag and Drop with Model – Reorganize a layout by dragging within the model tree.
Undockable palette and properties – Want a bigger canvas? Move or hide the palette and/or the properties.
Save All – The Save button saves everything in the project and presents dialog with progress details.
Extended Data Objects – Drag a data object from the palette and create either grid + form in the page (traditional) or grid + dialog and form.
Menu builder – Define menu items graphically within Studio.
Embedded Image List – WaveMaker now ships with a set of images to use in your application. Use the embedded list or add your own.
Improved Properties Panel – Improved support for tabbing among fields. Type bindings directly into data fields without using the binding dialog.
Contextual Menus – Right-click for shortcuts and other information.
Debugger – Want to use the same debugger regardless of the browser? Use the WaveMaker debugger.
We’ve also updated properties, added new events, and added widgets. See the 6.3 release notes for complete details.
